What a great find - I love charity shops. The story sounds intriguing and L one the look of the illustrations.


Yes - the internet is wonderful if you want to find something, but you can only stumble across those unexpected finds and curiosities in a bookshop. And I think that finding a book in this way gives a certain extra pleasure when you're reading it.

Since writing the psot I've discovered that it was reissued by Pushkin Press a few years ago, so it probably isn't that obscure at all.
